It is possible to use the BMBF website without giving out personal information. Personal details will only be compiled and saved by this website in a technically necessary scope, if you order something, request the BIOTechnikum, take part in a competition or subscribe to the newsletter service. These details will be used exclusively for the purpose defined by you. The following statement gives you a complete overview of how the BMBF guarantees the protection of your data and which type of data will be compiled for what purposes.

Data processing on this website

Data is compiled and exchanged every time you visit a website. The BMBF automatically compiles and saves data which your browser transfers to our servers. This is:

• The type and version of your internet browser
• The operating system you are using
• The sites you called up
• The sites you visited before (Referrer URL)
• The time of the server request.

The BMBF evaluates data solely for statistical purposes, in order to measure the demand for the BMBF website. The BMBF does not have the opportunity to allocate the data to specific persons. This data will not be amalgamated with other data sources. The IP numbers will be compiled for the duration of the visit, to answer enquiries, but will not be saved past the end of the visit. Data which were protocolised on accessing the BMBF website will only be passed on to third parties, as far as we are legally obliged to do so, or according to a judges decision, or if necessary in the case of attacks to the infrastructure of the BMBF website for legal or persecutive purposes. Circulation will not occur in any other cases.
